![]() ![]() If I read correctly the early 6.0 didn’t need to register the egr to start the truck. The only codes showing are the egr circ fault due to the egr being deleted. I checked the ficm voltage and had 48v with koeo and 48v cranking it. ![]() I restarted it and again ran for about 5 seconds and then quit and nothing ever since. The truck started fine like it always does and ran for about 5 seconds and then quit. ![]() Fuel light was on but not low enough to run out. Last week I went to start the truck and it was cold and low on fuel. I’ve had the truck about a year now and it’s been a great truck. I have a 2004 (05/04) f350 ccsb lariat powerstroke with 160k on it. I’ve been reading all of the info you guys are sharing and it’s helped me narrow down a lot but still can’t get my truck to fire. Thanks for any help/advice and your time.Hey all. I have also thought it may be the batteries as because this problem started happening when my wife left my truck door open all day and the cab lights stayed on. So I'm just curious if I should start chasing a high pressure oil leak or if it may be more an issue with the icp harness. If the truck is at operating temp, I can shut it off and start it back up with no issues whatsoever. It will turn over strong, but will not come to life. If I shut the truck off while it is surging, it will not start back up until it gets hot out. So I tried replacing the sensor already, but the problem still persists. The injector pressure jumps up to 850 and there is no surge. I have unplugged the icp sensor while it is surging and the problem goes away. Battery is around 13.4-14.1 volts Icp voltage is around 0.8/0.9 Icp pressure will dip down to 540 psi but hangs out around 575-590 Ficm is 48-48.5 Operating temp: Ipr is at 23% Icp is still 0.8/0.9 Icp pressure is 580-590 with no dips Ficm is 48-48.5 Koeo: ipr is usually at 13/14% Battery is at 11.8 volts Icp is 0.2 volts Ficm is at 47.5 Cold crank: ipr jumps up to 85% Battery jumps between 11.8-12.5 Icp is around 1.0 volt Icp pressure won't go above 250 psi Ficm is at 48 volts Cold idle if it starts: ipr will jump all over the place from 30% all the way up to 85%. I have a monitor and took some notes of what goes on at koeo, cranking cold, cold idle, and operating temp idle. It will throw a cel and a code for low injector pressure. ![]() Once it gets up to operating temperature it runs as smooth as it ever did. It either won't start or it will surge really bad until the engine gets up to operating temperature. It has recently started having cold start issues when the temperature outside is below 80 degrees. Ok, so as the title says, I have a 2005 6.0 with 182,000 miles. ![]()
